Our weekend plans included a lunch in Mosman followed by a sneaky shopping trip to the city so I thought it would be nice to wear something more feminine for such occasion than just my usual jeans. I found a high waisted full skirt in depths of our wardrobe from my corporate days. It became the perfect starting point for the ladylike look I had in mind. Paired with a casual fine wool sweater, over the knee boots (as also worn here) and a black beaded necklace (purchased in 1995 during my first visit of London, can you believe that!?) it resulted in quite a feminine ensemble yet not atypical of something I'd normally wear. I must add I particularly like how the boots connect to the skirt concealing the legs all the way. Think Audrey Hepburn meets Catwoman... in 2012.
