Dolce & Gabbana inspired nails – how to

Dolce & Gabbana nails how to, D&G

You may have already noticed my obsession with the new Dolce & Gabbana collection. An abundance of brocade embroidery, black velvet and lace… Love! To satisfy my cravings for some D&G luxury I came up with this nail art design which is really easy to recreate. It’s by far probably the easiest of all my DIY nails so far. In fact, this one does not require any nail art skills at all!  So without any further ado, D&G nails how to below.

HOW TO:

Dolce & Gabbana nails how to

1. Apply a single nail polish strip to your thumb and ring finger on each hand as per instructions provided in the Sally Hansen kit. I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects 360 Laced Up

2. Apply two coats of black nail polish on all other nails. Let them dry for a few minutes. I used Revlon Blackest Black nail polish.

3. Apply one coat of high shine top coat on every nail including the stripes. I used Diamond Strength Nail Hardener by Sally Hansen – its pretty shiny and good for your nails too.

These type of DIY nails look as good on short nails (this mani is a great option too) as on long and will transition perfectly from day into the night.

Enjoy!

xx

Lovely but then the other 6 nail strips are wasted! :(

It’s gorgeous, I like it. And I don’t think the other 6 strips are wasted, you keep them to do it again another time, simple!! It looks fantastic!! Xx

@ Amalia – No you wouldn’t waste the other strips as there are 16 in the Sally Hansen kit! So you can use 4 stripes for this mani and keep the other 12 for a proper lace mani or other nail art ideas.

I know you say that no skill is required and it sounds like it’s easy enough, but I can barely put solid nail polish on nicely! This is such a gorgeous look though. And it’s quite interesting that you used eyeliner.
