Product review: Nail color pen “Color Quick” by Sally Hansen

Sally Hansen, product review, quick color, nail polish pen, silver nails, beauty blog, sydney, crashingred

Recently I won a fabulous pack of manicure products in a Sally Hansen competition. I have been using their products for a while and so far have never been disappointed with the quality. So BIG thank you Sally Hansen for this gift pack, it will be used intensively! Of course, as a person who is obsessed with all things glittery, shiny and sparkly, the first thing I got my hands on was the Nail color pen “Color Quick” in Silver Chrome.

The promise:

“Just click to dispense colour, brush on and go! Fast-dry formula and handy application make it easy to use. Great for pedicures too! With Panthenol and anti-oxidant Vitamins A, C and E to condition nails, plus a UV Protector”

The verdict:

  • Yes, it is super convenient to use and easy to apply. So if you have difficulties in applying nail polish accurately, this product is absolutely suitable for you
  • It dries quickly. Really, it takes just a couple of minutes to dry… I did my manicure while waiting for a dinner to warm up! So I guess, you can easily get your nails done during the lunch break or just minutes before a date.
  • The enamel covers nails flawlessly: you can see the evidence from the pics! It’s  great quality for a glittery nail polish because, as you probably know, not all of them go onto your nails evenly.

To sum up, I would definitely recommend this magical product. Especially for those who lack time or struggle with precise application of nail polishes but still want to have their nails look fabulous!

I was going to buy one of these a few days ago, but wasn’t sure how good they would be.
Will definitely give it a go now :)

Excellent, love a good nail polish that is easy and quick to use. Especially drying! Any verdict on the time it’ll last though?

I always wondered if those pens were any good. Your manicure looks professional so you have me sold on it! I’ll have to make a stop this week to pick some up.

What a great bag of treats! I won a box full of Pixi cosmetics last year, and have had such fun exploring them.

Your nails look excellent, especially for a dinner-is-warming quick manicure! I’ll have to keep these pens in mind.

I usually save manicures for after the kids are in bed, and I have some time to spend at the computer. I can mouseclick and type pretty well while my nails dry.

    Thanks for your comment :)

This looks great. I’m terrible at putting on nail polish so I think I will have to check this one out. It looks easy and the colour is lovely!

Nice! I’ve seen these and wondered about them. Did you use a basecoat? How long did the manicure last before chips?

Regarding your recent comment, yes, my casual style is more relaxed and laid back. I’ll try to include more if it in my posts. =)

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to use a basecoat. It lasted 3 days. But I did a lot of housework, though;) Def should include more of your casual looks as not any less stylish than your ‘special’ looks!

I love the soft gold color of this polish! I’ve never tried the pen before but I just added it to my shopping list :)

Your nails look great here! I’ve been curious about those pens, I’ll check them out next time I’m in the States.

And thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog, it really made my day! I’ve only been at this for a short while and it’s nice to know I am getting readers who appreciate it. Thanks again!
