Sparkling Red

sparkling nails, diy, fun manicure how to, fashion blog australia, crashingred

The weekend is almost here! In anticipation of the upcoming exciting activities I decided to do my nails. As you probably know, I love all things shiny and this time thought of incorporating glitter into my manicure. The aim was a fun yet sophisticated look rather than a disco ball type of thing. The greatest thing about this manicure that there are endless color combinations to try! I chose red glitter instead of the usual gold or silver and a soft pink nail polish to go as a base. After a little bit of experimenting I came up with an interesting result and thought I would share how to do it.

You will need: clear polish (or base), light pink nail polish, brush and loose glitter

1. Apply two coats of light pink nail polish

Apply clear polish to tips of your nails

4. Shake off excess by tapping the tip of your finger on a hard surface

You can also rinse off excess of glitter under running cold water. It will help your nail polish to dry faster.
