Special Edition: Easter Inspired Manicure
Its 5 days Easter weekend in Australia and everyone overindulges by eating chocolate eggs and hot cross buns! As an Orthodox it is not traditional for me to consume chocolate at Easter, but I am quite happy to go with the chocolate flow. As this blog is not about food but a fashion and beauty blog, my choices for a special Easter post are limited. Thus, inspired by colourful shiny eggs wrappers, a special Easter manicure was created to represent the bright mood of this celebration.
How-to:
1. Apply Sally Hansen Miracle Cure as a base coat. It fills minor splits and creates a perfect foundation for your nail enamel to be applied flawlessly. Wait for 3 minute for the base coat to dry.
2. Apply opaque layer. In my case, it is Bloom nail polish in shade Kate. Don’t worry too much about applying it perfectly as the third glittery layer will smooth all the imperfection. Give 3 minutes for your opaque layer to dry.
3. Apply glittery nail polish. I choose OPI in shade Up Front & Personal. This shade actually looks stunning by itself when 2 coats applied. Anyways, for our Easter manicure we use Up Front & Personal as a final coat. Give 5 minutes for the final layer to dry.
I highly recommend allowing enough time for each layer to dry as it would help you to avoid those tiny bubbles appearing on surface of your freshly painted nails. Also, a nail treatment applied as a base coat will make your manicure last longer and protect your nails from any potential negative impact of nail enamel. So choose the one that suits your nails best and don’t be lazy :) apply the treatment every time you do a manicure – your nails would love that!
Plenty of time over the 5 days break, so you may give a go to this fun Easter manicure. Or even, may try to combine different opaque and glitter nail polishes. The outcome can be marvellous and remember to share your ‘findings’ with us!
Have a Happy Easter, lovelies!
