Top 5 skincare discoveries of 2011

top skincare beauty products, bio oil review, Liquid gold skin percecting system, glamoxy snake serum review, beauty blog sydney

2011 was a year rich in many ways. I’ve already presented you with the most popular outfits and outlined some major events in my life. Now it’s time talk about beauty! During 2011 I’ve been introduced to so many new products its crazy! So today I’m sharing with you lovelies, the top products that won my heart and most importantly, my face.

THE TOP 5:

Lancome Express cleansing water: A real  bathroom space and time saver.  It takes one wipe of a cotton pad to remove your makeup (even the long-lasting and waterproof formulas!) completely. Plus, you can use it for face, lips and eyes.

Bio-oil: During pregnancy, I got ZERO stretch marks. ZERO. Purely thanks to this oil. As I’m genetically prone to them I thought it was pre-determined. But this oil works magic! Apply daily to prevent ageing or other skin anomalies including sun-damage. It’s easily absorbed too.

Liquid Gold Skin perfecting system: Three easy steps to a younger looking, refreshed and glowing complexion. I noticed visible improvement just after 1 week of using the first bottle (the system consists of 3). It contains AHA and a variety of amazing botanical extracts that together work wonders for your face. Also, it is affordable compared to other brands with similar effectiveness (i.e. Chanel magic mask)

Glamoxy Snake Serum: Instant Botox without Botox (if this makes sense). Believe it or not this serum reduces facial contractions and boosts glow just in a few minutes. I’d say for me it erased about 5 years in 2 weeks of testing! Again, much cheaper than say, Botox or even Chanel.

Skin Virtue Pure Nourish Cleanser: dry skin owners, right this way! This cream cleanser removes impurities without drying and accelerates skin renewal! Did I say I love the economical and aesthetically pleasing packaging too? Also, I’m in love with Skin Virtue exfoliator (read more here). I thought I’d mention that, as together these guys work very well.

What about you, lovelies? Did you discover any magic skincare products in 2011? Please share…

Have a Fabulous First Friday of 2012!!

xx

Maria

Great choices. I used Bio-oil during pregancy too and got no stretch marks either, it leaves the skin really soft as well. xxx

I’ve been researching the Liquid Gold products and am desperate to try them out for myself – where did you pick up yours in Sydney? May I ask how much they cost?

@Catherine The Liquid Gold system costs about $90 for 3 bottles. you can buy them online or in DJ / Myer beauty section. They last forever though…

  8. Mystique January 8, 2012

Do you think Bio Oil will improve ugly protruding veins? Is it safe to use on your face as well as your body?

  9. Maria V January 8, 2012

@Mystique I don’t think Bio Oil helps with veins … I have them too (unfortunately) and they didn’t go away. Re: to use on your face as well as body – it is definitely safe. I was putting it on my face instead of usual cream after a day at the beach to get extra moisture. It is really nice!
