The busiest week in Australian fashion is almost over. Now it’s the time to reflect on everything seen so far and decide what can be taken on board to beautify ourselves in new season. A variety of fabulous looks presented at the 2011 Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) will inspire any makeup addict and / or even amateur to try at least one of them. So today, I present you with a selection of makeup trends celebrating color. Some of them can be re-created easily.

Bold eyes: At Alex Perry (first image) the striking look was achieved via combination of rich purples and vibrant golds, with an extended creative liner. To take this look off runway, capture the colours and balance the liner. At Roopa Pemmaraju the magic combination of vibrant turquoise and lilac brings out the summery bliss. Wear with a minimum mascara and soft pink lips. The photographs I used to create these compilations are courtesy to Fashionising.com

Orange / beige eyes: From clothing in all shades of orange to makeup, the color has dominated at the 2011 RAFW. From audaciously bright orange covering entire eyelid as seen at Shakuhachi to a softer version worn without mascara at Zimmermann. For a maximum effect, pair with slightly bronzed cheeks and neutral glossy lips. The photographs I used to create these compilations are courtesy to Fashionising.com

Bold orange lips: Vibrant matte color for lips was one of the major makeup trends seen at the 2011 RAFW runways. At Karla Spetic and Gary Bigeni lips were of a roaring bright orange, while at Yeojin Bae – a softer version of the same shade. The most interesting trend was seen at Dhini where Napoleon Perdis went beyond expected and teamed an orange top lip with a fuchsia on the bottom. To get the bold orange / fuschia lips look right, keep the rest of the makeup minimalistic. The photographs I used to create these compilations are courtesy to Fashionising.com

In the meantime, I would love to know which of the looks shown in this post is your favorite and whether you will be trying any of them for yourself. Let me know!
