L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 in highlights: Part 1.
After all the fashion weeks, shows and parades around the globe the fashion frenzy finally hits Australia. First on the list is L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) 14 – 20 March 2011. Regardless of the event’s relatively young ‘age’ (i.e. the first was in 1996) LMFF is one of the most exciting fashion industry events for Australian designers, buyers and style addicts.
I am going to report to you, my readers, on all the incredible designer creations and trends to watch. Although I’m unable to attend this year’s LMFF in person due to my unflyable condition (read – pregnancy). As a fashion blogger, I feel it is my duty to attend at least virtually. So here is the first report – highlights of the official 2011 Program Launch and pre-opening events.
Lovely models at the launch were rocking the dark lips weak eyebrows look at the program launch in the Government House, Melbourne.
The face of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Melissa George arrives at the program launch in the Government House.
Samantha Harris, one of Australia’s most in-demand models, arrives at the program launch.
Melbourne designer Jenny Bannister wore a tea towel to the LMFF program launch.

By the way, if you are in Melbourne (lucky you!!!) there is a great opportunity to attend live shows. There is a multitiude of great labels participating and the cultural program is rich and intriguing. So check out theSchedule and head out to see your favourite designers live! I checked and tickets are still available.

It is always nice when someone reports on other fashion weeks and designers other than the well known ones in NY, Paris or Milan. Excited to see what you will post.
I would like to follow each other :)

Just found your blog! Like it a lot, keep up the good work!
I’m a huge fan of the dark lips trend (mostly because I look kind of washed out with light shades!) I wish I was in Melbourne!
Have a wonderful day, doll!
