Dress code: smart casual

dress code smart casual

Recently I went to a private dinner held by one of my favorite beauty brands. It was so flattering to be invited and naturally, I wanted to look nice. Well, who wouldn’t? Dress code for a sit down dinner would be smart casual. But let me tell you dear readers, when dressing up for events and launches my main rule is: “Its better to overdress then go unnoticed”.

So instead of ‘smart casual jeans‘ I opted for a wide leg pants paired a leopard print blouse (also seen here) and some gold jewellery. I wouldn’t dare to rock this ensemble if I were blonde though… but since I’m a brunette now – why not?  Because the reality is if you’re dressed well, its impossible to be overdressed.

  6. Maria V October 22, 2012

@Amalia They can and they must! LoL But maybe with a lighter lips and less jewellery? As a former blonde, I know there is a thin line between tacky and chic. Style is such a personal thing. As soon as it all looks fantastic together and it makes you feel great there is no right or wrong, really.

@Riotersbloc – yes they are Zara, from recent collection!
