Long Black Dress: Styling Ideas

As mentioned in my previous outfit post here dresses are all I can wear now. While experimenting with my wardrobe, I figured out that basically you don’t need any pregnancy clothing given you already have a couple of stretch dresses. If not, I highly recommend finding one. Classic simple black dress in stretch fabric will allow for at least 10 different styles. You can dress it up by adding bold accessories. Pair with flats and scarf for a casual outfit. Add jacket and heels for an office look. I might do later a styling book just to give a good example of all possible outfits incorporating simple black dress.

The long black dress I wear on this photo is the same dress I wore here. You can spot the difference in styles – this look is more suitable for a colder weather and the other look is more summery and dressy. As simple as it is, just by changing accessories or adding simple cardigan you can create two totally different looks with the same dress!

Dress: V&M, $90; Cardigan: Wayne Cooper, $150; Hat: $17, from men section in Myer; Black choker: DIY – made out of velvet ribbon; Wedges: Zomp; Ring: $19 Diva

The outfit is gorgeous! The overall look is simple, but very chic, you did such a great job at combining the black dress with a white cardigan & adding the choker as a classy accessory. Of course the hat is to die for, I’m so into hats since year *lol*

So chic! The textured white sweater up against the black is a really great look. And I adore the hat! Love that you made the choker too. My sister and I were just talking about how fabric chokers are so big again and that we need to sit down and make some.
