Summer, beach and why fashion blogger can love dresses

Last weekend we discovered beautiful Shelly beach in Manly. Most of the beaches in Sydney have huge waves, which is great for surfers but not that amazing for such frog-swimmers like me and most of my European friends. So Shelly beach became my treasure. The most amazing thing is that this beach has both surf and still water. But to get to the surf you need to walk (more like clilmb) around rocks on the right side. It was not that easy to do the climbing thing being pregnant 7 months but it was justified by all the magnificent rock formations seen and an opportunity to enjoy dusk over Manly scenery in an absolute isolation.

That’s the beauty of Sydney: you can live next to CBD and enjoy metropolitan lifestyle yet be just 20 minutes away from the most spectacular natural splendour…  So many things to do and to see!

Well, this post supposed to be an outfit post… let’s call it casual summer style for beach. I cannot wear shorts/pants/many other things anymore and, as a fashion blogger, find it difficult to accept pregnancy clothing (sorry, but those make me look like a penguin in a sack!). Dresses are all I left with while trying to look stylish in pregnancy. So, lovelies you will see plenty of those over the next 2-3 months.

White dress: $80, Sportsgirl. This dress is a true style chameleon – see herehow it can be converted into an autumn style outfit.

Bag: $5, bought in Turkey few years ago

Sandals: ab. $50, bought in Melbourne during Xmas sales

Necklace: ab. $9, bought in Russia few years ago.

Thanks for stopping by at my blog and leaving some love! It’s always much appreciated. <3
Ahhh, good old Manly and Shelley Beach – I live in Collaroy, so I'm pretty local ;)
Shelley Beach is lovely but it gets so busy and touristy at times which is a shame! I like going down there in the Winter when it's not as crowded! Beautiful spot though, and I also like your bag!

Dresses are an excellent choice, as they are worn easily, they are feminine and there is a perfect type for every woman!

Couldn’t agree more. Shorts and pants at the beach, especially with a bit of humidity thrown in, are so hot and restrictive. You must have felt fabulous in the little summer smock. Love the tips on how to take it into winter. Versatility+. Kaftans and tunics are my favourite things too…almost an addiction. All the very best with your pregnancy. It’s a very special time. The hard work starts when you get them home!
