It was another beautiful day in Sydney. Warm enough to wear a delicate silk dress but still somehow refreshing enough to feel comfortable in high-heeled boots. Speaking of which I have been wearing my beloved Thakoons almost everyday. They are much easier to style than one can imagine. When worn with this Dion Lee dress it seemed the boots had found their perfect match.
Each of them is a statement piece. However when paired together, they compliment one another without competing. These ankle boots have already received praise (in this and this post) while the dress is very new: another amazing post-Christmas sale find. I shall add Dion Lee is one of my favorite Australian designers, so it is quite flattering to finally have one of his creations in my wardrobe. I adore the straps resembling braces across the bodice, the combination of sheer silk with opaque crepe de chine and the Dion Lee signature geometric cut. To emphasize the austere purity of white, I accessorised the look with a silver choker, a few thin silver rings and dark metallic nails.
