Trendspotting: silver heels
On weekends I like to indulge in fashion trendspotting. This time I have been researching shoes. I first noticed the recent obsession with silver and metallic shoes while reviewing spring summer 2012 collections. It comes in all forms and shapes: platforms (Rodarte), lady like mules (Louis Vuitton), sandals, ‘full on’ (Philip Lim) or just some silver details (pointy Thakoon).
So dear reader, aren’t you glad fashion is turning to its brighter, happier side? Color blocking, glitter and now metallic shoes. I think it’s great! Adding a little bit of sparkle to your wardrobe with silver shoes will instantly upgrade it for the new season. You will be surprised at how multipurpose they are. Wear them with a classic suit to the office, with colored denim for a night out or with a romantic dress for a date. I actually have been putting together some styling boards for silver shoes. So if you’re keen to see them, let me know and I will post them…

this is great news actually since I even own a pair of completely silver leather pumps which I have worn only a couple of times.. I love them though :P
I LOVE the Jimmy Choos! Although the Guess ones are quite comparable and more within my price range. Great. Now everytime I’m in David Jones I’m going to feel the need to check out the designer shoe section 0_0
I want some gold shoes instead of silver. :D
I’ve owned hundreds of shoes in my lifetime (maybe more lol) but I dont think ever, not even once, silver (although gold is in my wardrobe even now)… hmmm… my faves here are the Guess ones!
